Serums 101

So what exactly is a serum? And how is it different to a moisturiser?

Serums have the ability to really boost your skincare regimen by delivering a high concentration of ingredients in one small shot. What makes them particularly effective is their small molecular makeup, allowing faster absorption that reaches deep into the skin.

Serums and moisturisers are not interchangeable. Serums are a great way to boost hydration and plump the skin, however moisturiser are necessary to create a barrier on top of the skin to lock the actives in.

Who does a serum work for?

So, who can use a serum? Serums are great at particular skin concerns, or just improving the look and feel of skin as a whole.

Our Age Defence Serum is ideal for anyone wanting to combat dehydration and fine lines while increasing firmness. Hyaluronic Acid enhances the appearance of damaged skin and helps to restore suppleness.

The Anti-Pollution Serum works to protect the skin from daily environmental aggressors and stimulate the production of natural antioxidants with Marrubium Vulgare Extract.

APPLICATION IS KEY!

Although serums are a simple step to add in your routine, it’s super important that you apply them in the right order. Unless otherwise specified, this is the order in which you should be applying your products:

1. Face Wash

2. Serum

3. Moisturiser
