The importance of exfoliating your skin

Exfoliating is a key step in both your skincare and shower routine that is often missed. Keep reading to find out why it is so important and what products we recommend to use!

Exfoliating the skin helps to remove the barrier of dead skin cells, dirt and debris which often clog your skin. The removal of this reveals a layer of fresh new cells below as well as unclogging any blocked pores.

Exfoliating will also allow the products you apply to your skin, such as moisturisers and serums, to penetrate more deeply making them more effective. This will leave your skin looking fresh and healthy, while feeling smooth and clean.

For radiant looking skin, we recommend using the Olivestone Face Scrub which is enriched with natural actives and 12 essentials oils. Containing fine granules of Olive Stone, a textured creamy abrasion is created to coerce the dead skin cells and debris from the face, improving and encouraging new cell turnover. Our Face Scrub also uses skin conditioning Vitamin-E to keep skin hydrated during the cleaning process, as well as L’Arginine and Aloe Vera to help reinvigorate and energise the skin.

Apply the product into wet skin and massage onto the face neck using small, circular motions. Rinse with warm water. For the best results use thrice weekly and follow up with a ManCave moisturiser, such as the Original Moisturiser, to hydrate your now fresh and rejuvenated skin.

For the rest of your body, we recommend our natural body exfoliant the ‘BlackSpice Body Scrub’. The scrub, containing Charcoal Powder and Pumice, gives the skin a refreshing deep cleanse by removing an unwanted build-up of dead skin cells and grime. Apply the scrub onto wet skin, such as during the shower, and massage in circles. Rinse with warm water and repeat up to 3 times a week.

Follow the advice above on exfoliation for fresh and healthy looking skin.
