Halloween is fun but it has its consequences (not just the hangover from your fancy dress party either!)

Over halloween you need to protect your skin from the heavy face paint, and fake blood. Here are some easy steps to protect your skin:

PREPARE YOUR SKIN

Do not exfoliate the skin before putting on your alter ego - exfoliating opens up your pores and leaves them open to heavy face paint/fake blood and all the other nasties we expose our skin to over halloween!

Use a moisturiser like our SPF 20 Protective Moisturiser which is formulated with Shea Butter, Rosehip Oil and Jojoba oil that protects and hydrates the skin - this simple step before you apply you face paint will keep your skin hydrated and protect it from the heavy fake blood application.

REMOVING THE MASK

Glue can be harsh on the skin, especially prosthetic glue. Removing this from your face can cause irritation and redness. By using our Sensitive Face Wash you can ensure that your skin will be soothed, nourished and meticulously washed with thanks to the Aloe Vera and Cucumber extracts its formulated.

Men have more active sebaceous glands than women, which means more oil is secreted onto the skin especially by face paint. This leaves you with oilier skin, blocking your pores. By using our Olive Stone Face Scrub which is formulated with Olive Stone and Horsechestnut particles which help to remove dry skin and debris from your face, leaving a more matte finish while tightening and cleaning the pores. This unique formula also helps to maintain excess oil that can get built up on your skin.

MOISTURISING

One of the most important parts of you skin care regime is your moisturiser and over the halloween period this shouldn’t be forgotten. You should always apply a light moisturiser after washing off heavy fake blood/face paint as it helps to lock in moisture, reducing dryness and irritation. If washing your face has lead to redness and irritation our Sensitive Moisturiser would be the perfect remedy as it contains White Tea that provides Antioxidant & Anti-inflammatory properties.
