Deodorant vs. Anti-Perspirant: What is the difference?
Although often confused for the same product, deodorants and antiperspirants are not interchangeable, and actually provide completely different kinds of underarm protection
It's not your sweat that smells!
Surprisingly enough… Your sweat doesn’t actually smell, it’s odourless, but the smell occurs when the sweat meets the bacteria on your skin. The parts of your body that do produce an odor when sweating, have two things in common: more bacteria growth and apocrine glands.
Deodorant controls the odour created when we sweat, but doesn’t inhibit sweating. It works by killing the bacteria on the surface of the skin, which helps to prevent an odour from forming in the armpit, but doesn’t unnecessarily block the sweat glands
Antiperspirant uses predominantly aluminium salts to blocks sweat glands, reducing the amount of perspiration your body produces
Our Deodorants
Both our Eucalyptus Deodorant & Sensitive Deodorant stand alone with their capabilities. They are Aluminium Free (the pore blocking agent with some links health concerns) & Alcohol Free; our deodorants are formulated with skin-friendly naturally derived ingredients such as Aloe Vera & Acai Fruit Oil to prevent odour creation.
